    Paradigm Atom speakers

I want to upgrade the sound on my IMac at a reasonable price for listening to music. The Atom reviews make them sound like a good choice. However I am not sure about interfacing to the IMac. Would I need a separate amplifier?

Computers require a separate amp or powered speakers.

I have a couple of friends with Macs, not sure about IMac however. Some Macs come with built in dacs, which would be something to look into. Look into a T-Amp or perhaps a 15/20 watt quality vintage amp to get going.

Are you looking for big sound, or just enough for the user of the computer? I have heard and seen some great Mac set ups. Infact, one of the guys here just posted a fantastic mac set up from another site.

This is a Mac mini with ITunes, he uses his Touch as a remote with a special app., pretty cool. The picture comes courtesy of Abe Collins from Audio Asylum.
