Green dots?

I see in my User CP section that I have a positive feedback on one of my postings that I left. Is that in anyway related to my green dot that I have? Also, how do I give other people positive feedback and what do they get for my positive feedback?

Yes. They are related.

To give another user rep points here is an icon on the left hand side below the user name, but in v-alignment with bottom of the user's post, next to the 'on line' 'off line' status. mouse over and wait till the description tag pops up and you'll see one that says 'add to users reputation' or something similar.
