12" Car subs hooked up to a home bookshelf unit?

so i have a sony MHC-EC99i bookshelf stereo, and I want to know how I can hook 2 12" 1500W 4ohm Alpine subs up to it. Do I need an amp? if so, what power/quality. Money is not a huge issue, I just need to know exactly how I can make this work. These will eventually be put in my car, but for the next few months they will be in my dorm bumpn.

    Re:

You will want to put the subs in a sub box( if there not already) and they will need to be powered by an amp that can handle the specified power and ohms. I don’t think your Sony can push that kind of speaker at 4ohms. Parts express has DIY stuff, check them out. www.partsexpress.com

In order to hook them up to your Sony, their needs to be a pre-out for a sub, you can split the signal to run to both subs. If their is no pre out then you can jump off the main speaker wire with a hi-low by pass converter, any car audio store has them.
