    Blueray player audio setup

    Can you use bitstream audophile with an optical connection it says this is for hdmi audio connection but I like it better than the bitstrean reencode which is for optical.Can you use audophile with optical?

    The high-def audio formats for HDMI ... TrueHD and DTS-HD ...won't go through the old optical wire.
