What's better - Long RCA run or speaker wire?

Surround channels with seperate stereo Amp at the front or rear of the room? Which is better/less costly?

Longer speaker wires will be less taxing on the signal than longer IC cables. IC cables are more prone to cable's capacitance, noise and interference due to high impedance of its nework and low signal current.

Speaker cables deal with low impednace and high current, so they are more forgiving when it comes longer lenght.

Agreed when compared to conventional unbalanced line connections.

Balanced line-level connections can beat long speaker cables especially for distances beyond 100 feet. But that's not what we're dealing with here. Run the speaker cables and be happy.
