Does it exist? Programmable playback timer multi disc dvd player

    Any suggestions?

I want to use it in my hotel to play movies at specific times for my guests on one of the tv channels that is connected to the output from the dvd player.

Thank you so much for your help.

    Cool

    THAT WONT WORK.
BECAUSE you will need a player for each room.
What you need is a server, a DVR basically, hard drive based.
This would allow multiple feeds of one movie, to different sources.
YOU CAN GET ONE FROM COMMERCIAL SOURCES.
Building one would be relatively simple, if you can find a geek.
BUT GOD IN HEAVEN HELP YOU if the copyright owners of those movies find out
    what you are doing.
Getting a PPV box from the local cable company for each room is your best bet,
you can probably get the boxes for free since the patrons will be buying the movies

I don't know of a DVD player with this built in but most players have wired or IR control capability so you could set up a computer to send the disc selection and play command as per a programmed schedule. You may be able to find some software already written that can do this.

Try some Internet searches on keywords: sony dvd jukebox control s-link

Pix is right, a video server is the more modern approach but there are more serious copyright questions with those. What you're proposing to do is probably, at best, legally borderline.

    Cool

The main problem with DVD IS that it is single use only.
With a hard drive ten, a dozen, a thousand can access the same info.
With a DVD its one user per movie, one time.

I assumed what we're talking about in this hotel operation is closed circuit TV. The same picture originating from the DVD shown on any TV tuned to the assigned channel within the hotel. The same CCTV technology is sometimes used in larger homes to connect a single satellite or CATV decoder to multiple TVs so you can wander from room to room without missing any commercials.

YEAH, put a splitter, video amp on a DVD player and hook the outs to each TV.
What fun tuning in and watching a movie starting in the middle.
On the other hand it would be great for a endless loop of porn, which is probably
    what hes aiming for.

HBO subscribers don't seem to mind.
