Devics - Stars at Saint Andrea?

Saw this at Borders the other day, almost got it for the sticker. I copied it down, though:

"Devics...the finest purveyors of multi-layered gorgeousness since Yo La Tengo. Beautifully complex stuff." NME - 8/10

"A work of considerable beauty." The Independent - 4/5

"Utterly lovely from start to finish...PJ Harvey-meets-Beth from Portishead...and the sort of introspective lyrics Nick Cave would be proud to have penned." The Times - 4/5

"Sounding like a cross between Mazzy Star, Portishead and Throwing Muses. Ten torch songs for a rainy night in." Uncut - 4/5

After browsing the net (no Metacritic), I think I'm going to go back and get this, but wonder if anyone else has heard of this...? Opinions?

I found some music samples, here.

Bought the album -- I like them. They're kind of in that current Cowboy Junkies/Maquiladora/slowcore alterna-indie vein, but with the occasional darkness that, for example, Black Heart Procession have/has/had/whatevered (tracks that don't have samples that are even slower and more beautiful: "All Your Beautiful Trees", "Connected by a String", "Stretch Out Your Arms"). Recommended listens: "Red Morning" (in the videos section, if you either have the patience or have cable), "Don't Take It Away", "In Your Room" (the latter two under the albums, under The Stars of Saint Andrea).

I may have to obtain those other albums. I'll listen to the samples for now.

Besides, they're available at Twee Kitten. How can you not want to shop at Twee Kitten? Oooh...they have the Inner album in stock...
