Question PS audio Digital link III DAC?

Does any one have any experience with the PS Audio Digital Link III DAC?

It sounds like it has a nice sound to it if your looking for a more analog sound. I've got a Van Alstine Hybrid DAC on order now that I sold my 840c. But this is $700 less.

It seems to have quite a few fans (plus it can be modded by authorized modders at underwood hifi, without voiding the warranty)...

It received a very good review in The Absolute Sound and is on their recommended products list:

What I'd love to see is a shootout between it and it's major rival at $1K, the Benchmark DAC1...

I like the fact that the PS Audio has a more analog open sound. I've read that the benchmark can be a little clinical in sound.

My early impressions of the Benchmark are that is neutral and detailed... but definitely not clinical and harsh nor tubey and sweet.... pretty much just an even balanced sound.... But I haven't even given it more than a handful of hours to break-in yet, so my opinion might change....
