    Bedroom setup

Are the new energy Take 5 classic the same as the older take 5 system?

No ..... It appears that they might in fact be superior in several ways as well as being cheaper. I owned two of the original Take Five systems and loved them, especially the fabulous sub. It seems that the new satellites and the center channel might be improved. Sounds like the new system still has the great musical midrange. Looks like they have hit another home run with this new version. Here is the review on the new system for anyone interested. Note the -3dB response down to 30hz on the sub, excellent for this size sub! The new center channel is a great design, finally a manufacturer got it right. I actually had a modified Take Five system with the 5 of the satellites all around and no center speaker on its side. Should be a great system for smaller rooms.
