    A leap of faith

I order the Fleet Foxes disk based on what I'd been hearing about them 'round these parts. I knew nothing about the band or the CD, but I needed another disk to get free shipping so I took a leap of faith and threw it on the pile.

I was not disappointed. I've only spun 'er once, but this is good chit. Thanks to all who raved about this recording.

I've heard a few songs they did on Daytrotter.com. Totally up my alley but seemed like it may have less staying power than, oh say, Sara Palin. Tell us what you think after some more spins.

I don't remember any raves, but I do like it, just listened to it yesterday in fact. It has a charm about it. Pretty authentic sounding in its Appalachian mountain aesthetic, though its another Puget Sound area band. They coulda backed off the reverb a tad though, but there are some youtube performances sans reverb drenched vox thats a fun listen. They are sincere in their delivery.
