Paradigm soon to release Studio Series V.5

Looks like Paradigm is really busy upgrading (at least cosmetically) their speaker lines... As I mentioned in an earlier thread, Their Monitor series is being revamped as V.6 shortly and now so too is the Studio Series as V.5...

The new series looks sexier than a cross between Megan Fox and Jessica Alba... With new curved cabinets (more curved than the Signature series, so think KEF)....

Anyway here's the article (well, picture really, as there's no info out on the line yet):

I wonder if the new line will have the kind of high sensitivity of the Monitor line... I can just Imagine the noise I could make with a Paradigm Monitor 11 (97db sensitivity @ 8 ohms) and the upcoming Anthem Integrated 225 (225 watts @ 8 ohms)....

    And damn, they look sexy....

Also the first reviews of the studio 10 and 60 have been extremely positive.... seems the improvements are more than just cosmetics...

Still look too industrial for my liking. Besides I'm not sure I'm a fan of 3-way multiple driver configurations.
Having said that, they do look good overall. Aside the curves I can't seen many differences.

So when are you finally going to get a system Aj?

The speakers sort of look like they could be porn stars - exciting but also possibly vulgar. Is that what you mean?

    ....

Are they still made on-shore? Or have they moved production to China like everybody else?

Mebbe it's just me, but those look like the ugliest speakers Paradigm's ever released.

Basically my life collapsed these last 4 months (way too depressing to get into), so I lost my interest in HiFi and pretty much anything for a while....

But things are starting to look up a bit, so It's back to HiFi...

No idea, when I'll be able to add the amp and speakers to my setup... I'm just thankful that I didn't have to sell my DAC/Headphone setup....

I like the curved cabinet look. It's suppose to dampen the resonance by the bass drivers, for improved sound as stated by other manufacturers using the same design. And it's nice to know that something affordable is not made in China. If Canada can, why can't we?

If they are like all previous Paradigms, they are not 3-way but 2.5 way.

I'd take a Paradigm Atom over an Audio Note AN-J SEC Silver anyday!!!

Actually, since I've heard neither Paradigm or Audio Note speakers, I have no opinion on the sound of either of them... but the Paradigms do look mighty puuurty....
