Hi Rez MP3 Music Downloads

Hi Guys. Maybe you can straighten me out. What do I need or do I have to do to improve the quality of my music on my MP3 player. Do I need special software or is there something special I need to do when I download. I want to get a new MP3 player and improve on what I have on my other player. I hope that I made some kind of sense. Thanks. Jack

I use either Rhapsody or Windows Media Player

Looks like I need a player that supports Flac downloads. Does anyone have a player that supports Flac. I see that the IRiver E100 does.
