Stan Winston dies at 62 y/o

I cannot tell you how sad I am to hear that Stan Winston creature designer for Aliens, Jurassic Park, Terminator 2 and too many others to name has passed away. I have worked with this great man two times in my career, and he was the nicest man I have ever met in the business.

Very sad news -- that's way too young. Winston was a master of his craft. Even after digital effects took over, he remained very relevant and crucial to the films he worked on.

Sad part is, the name will fly right over most peoples heads.. Stan who? But if you showed them a collage of his work they'd get down on their knees and weep. He will be missed one of the true giants.
