    A/V receiver at low price

Hi, I have to buy a new a/v receiver but I have a low budget for it .
These are some moldels that I have considered:

    -Onkyo 501E
    -Denon 1803
    -Harman Kardon 2550
    -Yamaha RX V540

What Do You think about them ??
    Thanks

What is your budget? Off the top I'd say you've made some solid selections with the Yamaha and Denon leading the way. Not real fond of the newer HK receivers due to the cosmetics of the knob more than anything else. The Onkyo is another excellent option.

How to choose (in no particular order)?

    1. DSP modes. Will you use all of them or will there only be five or six you may use on occassion?
    2. Preouts. Suppose you decide to add an external amp later on. Does the receiver have the ability to accomodate your desire?
    3. Weight. The heavier the better as, odds are, the money went towards the amp rather than DSP modes.
    4. Adjustable crossover. If applicable. Some receivers may have this. Others may not.
    5. Looks. Not everyone likes the front of a receiver. Get one you will be happy with.
    6. Remote. Not all remotes are the same. Denon's, for example, have been awful and was part of the reason why I went with an Outlaw 1050 receiver rather than the 1802 (or 1803).

Look around for B-stock, demo, and used receivers as you may come accross a deal that is too good to pass up.

My budget is only of 380 euro (About 400 $). I'd like to buy a receiver that is pretty good also in audio reproduction and not only for home cinema. Some friends tell me that Denon and harman Kardon (for that price band) are better than Yamaha for how concern the music.
