Looking for info on Teac X-300R Reel to Reel

I just got a Teac X-300R but no nothing about it. Does anyone know when these where made and how much they sold for? Links or more info greatly appreciated. How was the quality of these reel to reels? It looks nice and is heavy.

Reels were the best in quality. Their two main uses were amateur rock gods using them to make demo tapes or to play "bootleg" tapes, and audiophile types would record their albums and listen to the tapes for everyday use , saving wear and tear on their collection.
There were hardly any "prerecorded " tapes, record companies were scared they would be duped.
Teac and akai were two of the best, cant tell you anything about the one pictured.
Dont know where you'd get tape for it either.
Roumor was that PIONEER was coming out with a high q analog reel to reel , providing a
music source for analog lovers without the drawbacks of turntables.
