    Choosing the right cable/adapter

    Hello
I have a Behringer AMP800, I want to connect my sound card(m-audio revolution 7.1) to one of the inputs on the behringer, but I am unsure of the best way to do this. The inputs on the AMP800 are two 6.3mm left/right, whereas the output on my soundcard is 3.5mm stereo.

I am getting conflicting information from two of my friends, one of them recommends this: Hosa 1/8 in. Stereo to Dual 1/4 in. Mono Cable http://www.zzounds.com/item--HOSCMP15 . My other friend claims this cable would not work, as it would simply give two mono signals, not a left channel and a right channel.

Any suggestions for other cables or help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

That's the wrong cable. It take's two mono's and sums them to one mono. You want them summed to one stereo. (in reverse, of course)

You need one with a 3.5mm (1/8") stereo end. You could do this

and then finish it off with two of these

    good luck
