Lightbulb Sanyo's brand new 1080p Projector

I just thought I would turn your attention to the unbelievable projector that Sanyo just came out with 1080p support and an amazing street price of $2200 after a $300 rebate.

Damn it is everything I wished my Z5 was in the first place. I want this in the worst way!!!!

I'm hoping that this will spur a price drop in the 1080p DLP units. It always seems to be Sanyo and then Panasonic that lower the price-bar first with the others following suit.

Thanks, they've been saying how this review was on the way for a while now. I'm glad to see that it's ready.

    Technology is a good thing.

Here is a much better review of the PJ -- good review but lowest in-class lumens bugged the reviewer.

If I was ready to upgrade to 1080p today, it would be one of these 4.

My current living room projector is mounted 12 feet from a 106" grey screen. Any of these would fit right in. (except the Optima would need to be moved back about a foot &1/2. That would be no big deal for me)

By time I'm ready, there should be a whole new crop out.

These PJs are ever better and ever cheaper.

I'm still driving a pair of converged CRT projectors mounted on a Chief convergence stand. The picture in HD is stupendous, but so is the heat generated and the attendant fan noise.

One day soon a little PJ will take these spectacular dinosaurs down.
