Basic question - iPod connection to receiver

What seemed to be a simple task, has me scrathing my head. Trying to connect iPod to a Denon AVR-2801 surround receiver. I have the iPod docking station with the rca cables. Just need to know which audio in to connect to. Below are my potential options:

DVD (however already have dvd connected to that port)
    TV/DBS
    VCR-1
    VCR-2/V-AUX
    VDP
    CD
    Phono
    CDR/TAPE

I have tried them all without any luck. Suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Have you tried to contact Apple's customer service via the internet? Seems to me that they should know the answer to your question.

any of them really except phono..

Any of the connections will work except for the phono input. There is additional amplification and eq in the phono input that will not play nice with your iPod docking station.Dumb question but are you connecting the red rca to the red rca input and the white the same way? Are the cables all firmly attached?
