    JVC has been doing the same with sake soaked wood for a number of years I think.

    edit: nevermind, JVC makes drivers if i recall correctly using the sake soaked wood, not the speakers

    I wonder if they could make guitars out of that wood too? Hmmm. I have a 1951 Gibson acoustic that blows away todays guitars with enormous sound and the wood is so mature and aged that it just sings like crazy.

    I know what you mean. A friend at work has a early 50's Gibson and it has to be one of the best sounding guitars I've heard. The tone is simply superb.

    My stepfather has a Gibson Hummingbird (not sure of the vintage but early 60's???) that again is an outstanding guitar.

    Can't beat vintage wood.
