    Rack Mountable DVD Changer

I'm trying to consolidate my audio-video components into a standard 19-inch equipment rack. I've Froogled, Epinoned, etc. but cannot find a standard 19" rack mountable DVD Player changer.

Does anyone make a 5 or 6 disc DVD player changer that is rack mountable? Or is there some reason for not rack mounting such a DVD player?

Any advice/recommendations will be most appreciated!

You can buy shelves that mount in a 19" rack and then place the DVD player on that.

    Check out Hammond.

Thank you. Yes, I've considered that option and may -- reluctantly -- have to adopt it. Still, I would much prefer a changer that could be mounted/bolted in permanently. My rack is on wheels and I've some, albeit not much, concern about forgeting the DVD player is not bolted in when I'm turning/moving the rack for routine maintenance or equipment changes. But the shelf option may turn out to be the only way to go.

Again, many(!) thanks for the reply.

You could screw some "Cups" to the shelf where the feet are to provide lateral stability. Maybe some "nice" furniture feet cups or something out of aluminum.

Denon definitely do -- you need to look in the pro sound arena.

I've checked both the linked sites as well as the Denon and Marantz web sites. Although I can find rack mountable Denon CD changers, there are no DVD changers. As for Marantz, I can only find single disc DVD players with rack mount options.

I'll keep looking but I'm thinking that the shelf solution will likely win out. In any case, many thanks for responding.

    Sony and Velcro...

I think that Sony makes a few DVD changers that are mountable and I mean bolt-in mountable. However, if you are unable to do that another idea would be to simply velcro the gear down or like someone else said....DIY w/screws into the detachable feet. I've made a few custom carts myself for portable A/V and usually VCR's are not easy to rack mount, but velcro works like a charm if you get the high-grade stuff, plus it's easy enough to move off of there if you ever want to eliminate it.
