Help Me Denon 2807 or 3806?

    Hi, I need your help:
I am ready to buy a AVR Denon but I have a question.
Today the 2807 and the 3806 have the same cost, wich is the best?
    Analogue-to-Digital Conversion - Bit Depth/Sampling Rate 24-bit/192kHz (3806); front a BB PCM-1804 24-bit/96kHz(2807)
    AL24 Processing - All Channels AL24+ (3806) ,front AL24+ on Front L&R (2807)
    The 2807 support Biwiring, the 3806 ? (I have Polk RTi 10)
The 2807 Came with Faroudja FLI-2310
    Please reply with or suggestions.
    Thank you so much.

Get the 3806, its a much better unit. The power supplies are much better. Its an entry level audiophile unit. Just check out the reviews on the 3806. It uses Torroidal power supplies and virtually the same electronics that are used in the 4000 series receivers.

    Second the 3806

Blackraven has the right of it, although the 2807 is the newest model and may have some unique features, the base construction (amps, power supply, caps, etc.) of the 3806 is superior. That's going to show itself in the sound more than a new chipset. Good luck.

Just look at the weight of the 2 receivers. The 3806 weighs 39lbs and the 2807 28lbs. Thats because the 3806 uses larger and better power amps and transformers.

    3806 vote here...
the 3805 could byamp the front speakers with using ch 6&7, but this will still be off the same powersupply, so you may not gain as much as you would if you simply used an external amp...

Assuming both are NIB and from authorized dealers,

If it's a choice between a newer model with less performance and frivilous features you don't need and an last year's model with better performance but still has the features you need, go for last year's model,

All you get with the newer model is bragging rights, and you can't hear them. Plus, very soon it'll be last years model as well.
