    How do you compare?

    -I am still looking for a preamp and have been reading reviews of the Anthem Stereo preamp and tuner TLR 1. How would you compare it to the Rotel RC 1070? I have an Anthem Ano MCA 20, Would the Anthem preamp be a atep up? If not can you suggest some preamps I ahould look at. My budget is around a thousand. I am willinfg to go "used".     I am sure the anthem will be a very nice preamp... sorry I have no experience with the rotel...
    I do have an older B&K PT3s2 which is very nice (I got it used with an anthem pva2 for $500 shipped)
    anthem makes great equipment, and may be a small step above b&k but b&k is very nice as well

    With a budget of $1000 and no problem buying used you should look at Conrad Johnson and Audio Research preamps.
