S-Video to Component Video Adapter question

Would these adapters work for converting s-video to component video...ie: from tivo out to a receiver in?

it should be OK, however those adapters do not pass a progressive signal; if it works PQ will suffer. Which AVR are you working with?

I don't think Tivo has any kind of progessive signal.
The receiver is a Sony HT-dd900w. it has component, composite and hdmi connections but no s-video.

I'm not familiar with the Sony but from what little info i found it sound like the CV connections on your receiver handle 480p and it appears to be no up-conversion to HMDI. It souldn't be a problem but I would skip the adapter and run the tivo directly to the display with the audio routed to the receiver.

Yeah that is something I considered I just wasn't sure if feeding the video thru the receiver would make it easier to switch sourses.
because if I have the dvd, tivo and ps2 audio going to the receiver and each of their videos going to the tv separately I just have to change sources on the tv and receiver each time. It's not THAT hard to do, just curious if I could help streamline it.
