DVDs wished you hadn't bought.

OK guys, everybody have a few DVDs in their collection that they had resented buying. This might be a good time to vent it out

Here are few clunkers from my collection:

Nine Months: The whole film goes on like autopilot, and everything is predictable


Analyze This: Seeing Deniro crying like a baby is not a pretty sight.


What Dreams May Come: One of the saddest movie I’ve ever seen.


My Fellow American: What a waste of talent. Enuff said.


Matrix Revolution: The operatic fight scenes goes on forever...


Vegas Vacation: Chavy Chase should have stayed at home.


Conan the Destroyer: This movie should have been rated “G”-for Guilty as charged.


Man Who Shot Liberty Valence: I thought with Wayne and Steward, and Ford as a director nothing can go wrong. But it did!


Black Sheep: This movie have non of the elements which made their previous movie Tommy Boy so great.

Vegas Vacation? Are you kidding? I love the scene where Clark and Eddie go into the casino to try and win Clark's money back. That scene alone is worth the price of admission, with casino games like, Pick-a-hand; What Number Am I Thinking Of; and Rock, Paper, Scissors. Classic.

Hey, I liked My Fellow Americans and Liberty Valance.

I bought Tron based on being remastered and old memories but it was so slow and didn't quite have to thrill I remembered. I traded it off.

Pluto Nash, I bought it used from the rental store thinking it's only the price of a couple rentals. Man, that movie sucks, and my wife actually likes it and don't want me to get rid of it. It's bound to disappear some day.

Blair Witch, wow, what a disappointment. I got away with taking that back and trading for another movie.

Usually don’t rent movies, so I’m stuck with any movies which sank. The good news is most of DVDs mentioned cost me less than $5

Vegas Vacation and Black Sheep might be around the border on a watchability meter, but My Fellow Americans really hit the bottom. It is just not happening with that movie.

Unfortunately, I'm a bit of an impulse buyer, especially when at Costco. My twisted thinking usually goes; "Huh. I didn't know that movie was on DVD. Hmmm...I wanted to rent that and once you calculate my usual late fees, the hassel of going to Blockbuster, seeing if it's in, and then finally returning it...I might as well buy it." That inferior logic has added these gems to my small collection:

Superman Returns: Uhh...did he have to return so devoid of action or anything interesting?

Doom: I know. I know.

Matrix Reloaded & Matrix Revolutions: Thinking- "Man, that'd look great on the HT!" Reality- "Man, sucky storylines don't make them look any better!"

Star Wars Original Triology: Blasphemy you say? Have you heard the soundtrack on these abominations?!? I swear, Lucas did this on purpose to make us buy he "New and Improved" release. Bastard.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: First, it's on HBO every freakin' second of the day. Second, if you've seen one Potter movie, you've seen 'em all.

There are more, but I need to be at home to look at my collection.

Swimming Pool (Unrated Version)

Duh? Thought there'd be a hot babe in a bikini. Well, there was a little of this. Very little. Then the only time anyone took their clothes off was the old lady at the end.
I wasn't looking for much, but got even less.

I had the same problem with The Girl Next Door Unrated Version -- who needs a remake of Risky Business without the two nude scenes (including the Love On A Real Train scene) and the sweater scene from Rebecca De Mornay?

My sentiment exactly. Let not forget the cost of gas. It probably cost $2-4 worth of gas for round trip to DVD rental store.

And don’t you also find it funny that only day one have time to watch a rented DVD is when is over due

Man are you on crack???!!!! It's not "vintage" John Ford but hell it's in black and white. The movies got Wayne, Stewart AND Lee Marvin as the tite villain???!!!! And you thought it sucked??!!!!! Good God man what more do you want???!!!!! Hell its even got Lee Van Cleef and Woody Strode in it for Gods Sake.

But enough of that. My most regrettable movie purchase...

"Nightfall" - A lame, sad, tired adaptation of the classic Asimov short story. A production made in India with David Carridine, but that wasn't the problem, the chitty script was the problem. I couldn't even finish it.

Man are you on crack???!!!! It's not "vintage" John Ford but hell it's in black and white. The movies got Wayne, Stewart AND Lee Marvin as the tite villain???!!!! And you thought it sucked??!!!!! Good God man what more do you want???!!!!!

The movie as whole was entertaining, but there were few scenes in the movie that was just too long and boring (such as in the classroom). Also there were not any of Ford signature breathtaking outdoor scenes. And John Wayne kept drifting in and out of scenes, with nothing to do but make few comments and leave.
