    Klipsch KG5.5 (Classic)

Hi Everyone, this is my first post here. I just wanted to ask a question to you all. I have had a pair of Klipsch KG5.5 for about 12 years now. I love these speakers and they are about the only thing in my life I have ever owned that long. They are still an perfect shape and sound great but I am thinking of remodeling my home theater when we finish building our new home and I am struggling with the decision of whether to sell them or not.

These speakers have been so good to me for so long it is just hard for me to part with them. They still sound as crisp and powerful as the day I bought them. I may just upgrade everything except my front L/R speakers.

I could not find these on eBay or any other site for sale at all so I was just curious if anyone had an idea about what I might be able to get for these on the market if I decided to sell them?

Also if I keep them any recommendations on what speakers I could buy now (Center, Surround, SBWFR) to match them from the current line of Klipsch products?

    Any opinions are welcome. Thanks.

Have you considered contacting Klipsch to see what they would recommend?

If your happy with them, contact Klipsch and see what they suggest as the best fit is with there current lines.

One other thing to note is Klipsch has made significant improvements in there horns and drivers and are much more refined these days. You might want to go out take a listen and see what your ears think before making any final decisions.

I have a pair of Kg4s I've had for over 20 years. They're a generation before yours. The Klipsch RS-3s are great surrounds and I would recommend either one of the KV series centers (KV2, KV2.2, KV3, KV4), the Academy, or a KLF-C7. I have my KG4's match with both the KV3 and KLF-C7 depending on my mood and front and rear RS-3s. Very dynamic combination. Enjoy!

I bought a pair of KM5's and a pair of KM4's and the matching center channel about a year ago for $400 bucks. I then sold the KM5's and the center channel to a friend.

The KM line is the same as the KG line, only the KM line was manufactured and sold only in the military's USO.

I placed the KM4's side by side with a pair of Paradigm 7's v3's and they sounded very good standing next to the digms. I now have them as my rears in a 5.1 set up.

I know KG5.5's are bigger speakers but if I where you I would keep them.
