are your favorite scenes on youtube?

Our compadres at rave recs are way ahead of us on using youtube links to share music. I did a little lookin' around at youtube and you'd be surprised at the number of great movie scenes to be found. We've done several "favorite scenes" threads over the years, but this time see if you can find some of your favorites on youtube and post links.

My list of favorite scenes doesn't change as much as my list of favorite movies. This one from Blue Velvet is usually at or close to the top:

Here's one from a movie that probably wouldn't make a favorites list as a whole, but this scene from The Silencers I find extremely entertaining:

How about this infamous prophetic proclamation from Criswell:

See what you can find then post away!

One of my favs is the gourmet coffee scene from Pulp Fiction. This is not the full scene, just a small piece of it. Too lazy to find the whole scene.

Here's my favorite scene from Attack of the Giant Leeches starring Yvette Vickers (unfortunately it's follows 48 secs. of her in Attack of the 50ft Woman). This scene made the movie for me. It transcends the typical drive-in fare by adding a southern gothic touch that could've been inspired by William Faulkner or Tennessee Williams - the cruelty of a young, hot bride of a pathetic, slovenly husband. (Also note that the sex symbols of the 50s and 60s could be seen from the side.)

I've always loved this scene from Evil Dead 2. Pay attention to the title of the book that he puts on top of the bucket.

I've never heard of that movie. But that's a killer scene! Is the rest of the movie that good?

oh. my. lord. this is a must see for fans of Evil Dead 2. Army of Darkness is a classic! It is so ridiculously over the top and the best ending (is it really though...?) to the 'trilogy' of the evil dead movies. don't look for any more scenes on youtube, there are a few mroe on there from aod, but just wait and watch the whole movie, it is quite possibly one of the most quotable movies out there!

highly highly highly highly highly reccomended (and yes that's more "highlys" than little miss sunshine got, they are slightly different movies)

You know, I even knew there was an Evil Dead 1, until Evil Dead 2 came out. I still haven't seen the first one. Looks like I need to find me a day to turn into an Evil Dead day.

(I finally finished watching S1 today. I don't think that I'll get all of S2 rewatched in time).

I'll try to restrain myself -- yes, the rest of the movie is (almost) that good. (The boomstick scene is one of the best, though -- that's the only reason I say "almost".) You must see it -- especially if the hand scene is your favourite from ED2.

BTW, ED1 is more of a horror movie with black humour thrown in; ED2 was more of a comedy (to me) with horror thrown in.

Army of Darkness is basically Evil Dead 3.

those are some great scenes, guys and gal. I've neglected the Evil Dead movies, but now I know I have to check them out. I've always thought Return of the Living Dead was a fun movie. ED series should be as well.

Lots of good links so far. They have caused me to waste far too much time at work. Here's some more.

Great scene!. My wife is huge Tarantino fan. How many women do you know who will happily watch Dusk to Dawn and both Kill Bills in one weekend? Or, who routinely use the word "cleaner." "Honey, the bank took the car payment out twice this month again... we're gonna have to send a cleaner in on those *****es." Or, any woman who actually understands the implications of the question "Who shot Nice Guy Eddie?"

However, she had never seen or even heard of True Romance until just two weekends ago. We caught it on cable and she was like a kid who found one last Christmas present hidden behind the tree.

    Great stuff.

My kind of woman! (My ex thought Pulp Fiction was one of the funniest movies she'd seen at the time that she saw it.)
