Yeah it's beginning to come back as the US has lifted the ban which was created to protect the paper industry. Audio Note will now be using Hemp woofers as well after 4 years of R&D. http://www.audionote.co.uk/speakers/...kers_news.html

Still 25 inch woofer is insane -- I bet insanely FUN too.

    They're recommending a 12 cu.ft. vented box -- that's the size of a small room!!

It's made for it, i also tought that, until they mounted it in a buick sedan...

the site for the movie is in dutch, but there is a windows media player screen in it, so you can't miss it.

btw, 4 of those 25"ers would litterally blow you away, the woofers in my advents are 12", and 250watts (checked it, took out the woofer to see) @8ohm, i've got 2 of these, (one for right, one for left) and they actually are capable of making my whole room, including me, shake, when i play some really loud music, it can actually hurt. But i do wonder (just like you) how they sound.

Remember the Mark Levinson HQD system from the early 70s? It employed Hartley 24" woofers coupled with stacked Quads and Decca ribbon tweeters.

    HQD System

Back in the seventies, we supplied our own, um hemp to the experience.
