    Budget Home Theater Receiver?

I'm downgrading to a low budget HT set up only. I use headphones for music. I bought the Yamaha HTR-5930SL when it arrived it did not function.

The amp will only be powering smallish bookshelf speakers front and surround plus a center channel. I have no needs beyond 5.1, a single coax connection and DTS.

    Looking to spend $200ish.
These are some that I have found:

    ONKYO TXSR504
    SONY STR-DG500
    YAMAHA HTR-5930SL (again)
    PIONEER VSX-516-K

    Any recommendations are appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Sam

Out of those I would go with the Pioneer simply based on my experience with Pioneer material, which always seems to be easy to use, very good quality for the money, and usually has some nice features for it's price range. Have you thought about looking at some refurbished or used equipment??? This way you could get a slightly better model for the same $$$.

Go with one of the Panasonic XR "Digital Amp" series.. they're fantastic amp for the money.
