    MoFi and SACD land

Here are the recordings that I frequent more than anything else...

    MOBILE FIDELITY CD's
    Stevie Wonder's INNERVISIONS
Don Henley's BUILDING A PERFECT BEAST
Alan Parsons Project TALES OF MYSTERY AND IMAGINATION
Tears for Fears SONGS FROM THE BIG CHAIR

    SACD's
    Prokofiev's IVAN THE TERRIBLE (MoFi)
    Mike Marshall's GATOR STRUT
Elton John's CAPTAIN FANTASTIC, GOODBYE YELLOW BRICK ROAD, HONKY CHATEAU
    Beck's SEA CHANGE
    The Who's TOMMY

I am also enjoying the DVD-Audio of Depeche Mode's PLAYING THE ANGEL and I am looking forward to their entire catalog on SACD this year. It will be great getting the MOODY BLUES on SACD as well...I have nearly worn out my SEVEN SOJOURN DTS-CD.

I need to pick up that Holst...I have the Ravel, Gershwin, and Mussorgsky.

By the way....just for my own personal fun I enjoy cranking up Don Henley's BUILDING A PERFECT BEAST and deliver some great tunes into my neighborhood. This is by far one of the best recordings from the 80's and is sonically amazing....no matter how loud you go it delivers and then some! I would love to see this re-issued to SACD.

I would also like to see the following arrive to SACD (artists)

    DREAM THEATER
    LED ZEPPELIN
    PINK FLOYD
    ALAN PARSONS PROJECT
    STEVIE WONDER
    YES
    RUSH
    EAGLES
and many many more, but this is at the top of my list for now.

    You may be in luck...

...with one or two on your wish list.

I believe Animals is supposed to come out sometime this year in SACD surround. It will probably only come out in Europe (ala the Moody Blues SACD's), but you'll be able to get it as an import.

As for me, some groups/recordings I'd like to see in hirez surround (and I'll take SACD or DVD Audio) are...

    1) Ambrosia/Ambrosia
    2) Pink Floyd/Wish You Were Here
    3) Porcupine Tree/Stupid Dream, Lightbulb Sun, and Signify
    4) Bryan Ferry/Bete Noire
    5) Uriah Heep/Demons And Wizards, The Magician's Birthday
    6) Peter Gabriel/Security
    7) Jethro Tull/Thick As A Brick
    8) Kate Bush/Hounds Of Love

Of course, most--if not all--of these will probably never happen. Oh well, I'm allowed to dream.

Oooooooh How could I forget Jethro Tull....I am partial to MINSTREL IN THE GALLERY, so it would be awesome to hear multi-channel Baker St. Muse....ahhhhh.
