    avr video switching PLEASE HELP

about the H/K avr 635. It has the video cross conversion..Does that mean this....I have the dish network but my dish receiver only has s video. If I plug my s video from my Dish receiver into the h/k and run component vid cable from the h/k to my tv ..I can get the dish network in component video for a better picture...Is that what h/k means ?

But keep in mind...the picture won't be improved at all. In fact it COULD degrade because of the conversion.

Yes, I used to do the very same thing with my Yamaha. Just make sure to switch on the video up consversion in the setup menu; I don't think that feature is always default.

You should upgrade your dish receiver for one that has 3 component and connect directly to TV
The less conversions you go through the better

I did that. But I don't think you can find those anymore unless you go HD.
