Speakers to match McIntosh MC 2600 Power Amp

I recently got an incredible deal that I could not pass up on the following McIntosh equipment:

    MC 2600 Power Amp
    C 31V AV Control Center
    MCD 7008 CD Changer
    MR 7082 AM/FM Tuner

Over the years, I have accumulated a vintage stereo system consists of the following components that are in near mint condition:

    Pioneer SPEC-4 Power Amp
    Soundcraftsman SP4001 Equalizer Pre-Amp
    Technics RS-M85 Cassette Deck
    Technics 1600 MK2 Turntable
    Pioneer PL1000 Turntable
    SAE Tuner
    Teac X10-R Reel to Reel
    Yamaha A-1020 Integrated Amp
    Bose 901 Speakers
    Bose 6.2 Speakers
dbx 3BX Series Two Dynamic Range Expender
dbx 224 Noise Reductions Systems for the Reel and Cassette Deck
    Rodec Mixer

I'm looking for speakers to match the massive 600W per channel of the MC 2600 power amp. Any ideas?

I don't know of any match made in heaven for your Mac. I'd recommend listening to Dynaudio. I've used them with anything from vintage Sansui to Adcom, Krell, Arcam and even Conrad-Johnson and they've been great. Dynaudio is one of the most neutral speakers I've found and with good amps the bass response is incredible. With Mac, the honesty of the Dyn's shouldn't be a problem for you. With high end gear like Mac you will benefit from good cables if you don't already have some. I'm talking about brands like Transparent, Audioquest, Siltech etc. I've personally had good luck with both Transparent and Siltech.
