    Onkyo TX-SR602 Issue...Please Help

I have the 602 and when I watch a movie the surround sound comes out of both surround speakers instead of the right or left. For example if there is supposed to be sound coming from the surround right only I get it in both and vice versa. Any help would be appreciated. I have gone through all the set ups to no avail....

when you watch a movie and when this happens, what surround mode do you have the receiver in? Is it in the Dolby Pro Logic II movie mode or any of the DSP modes or Dolby Digital?

Yep, sounds like you're listening to a DSP and not Dolby Digital or DTS.

    Question

I also have the 602.Are you sure it's not in the analog Pro Logic mode ? In that mode there is only one mono surround channel that is fed to both speakers.

It was a setting on my dvd player. I am using the optic audio and had to change a setting there. Now it works perfectly!
