Hey Paul, what is your budget for the sub?

Also how much are you dropping on that speaker package?

LJ, Is this price reseonable for Klipsch RB 35 Home Theater Series. or should be cheaper, one of the local dealer is offering me. As you suggest in other thread to break down, as I'm thinking not to buy RS35 now or I can use something else for surrounds

    RB-35 Bookshelf Loudspeakers @450 pair
    RC-35 Center Channel @300
    RS-35 Surrounds @450 pair

Yes, it does make a difference. Although some manuf. make excellent speakers, it's not always the case with subs. I'm sure most subs in that 700 mark are gonna perform great but like I mentioned your other thread, HSU, SVS and Velodyne are highly recommended. Now that you've supplied your budget and room size, the guys with more sub experience should be able to give you some great advise.

Well I think you should decide if you want to build slowly or not. You need to break your budget down and start from there. If your gonna start with 2 fronts and a sub, you can upgrade to better fronts and get yourself some surrounds and a center later. It's up to you. I would suggest that what ever price range you come with for your speakers, you go out and listen to as many in that price range as possible. It takes time, but in the long run it's worth it.
