Cool About Schmidt: Kathy Bates in the nude.

It took alot of courage, but in the movie About Schmidt, she (Misery) undress in front of camera and get in hot tub to accompany Jack Nicholson. It is not the best sight in the world, but a memorable one.

This movie is extremely low key about retired insurance agent (Nickolson) coming in term with himself and family, and travel cross country to prevent his daughter from marrying a waterbed salesman. Kathy Bates is mother of groom determined to see the wedding through. She and jack make an odd couple.

Jack received an award nod for his performance which might be his best.

I actually couldn't finish watching that movie because I found it too depressing, which supports Jack's great performance in that role. I'm not saying it was a bad movie, I just found it very lonesome and depressing.

I'm a big fan of Jack. I've enjoyed many of his roles. One of my favorites (besides his earlier classics) was As Good As It Gets. I thought he was great.

Ah Paul, the end of Schmidt was great! It was very redeeming for him. It almost made me cry, and i never cry at movies! I usually only cry when i break a fingernail or get a papercut.

This might be kind of movie that one have to watch couple of times to be drawn to it and be in the mood for....aka very late night viewing.

Although didn't care too much for the ending scene (Ericl, you are just a big baby ), but the scenes with Bates are priceless
