    Jbl E 90 speaker

I am looking at purchasing new speakers for a room that is 18 X 19. I have listened to these speakers and the sound great but I hear of so many, can you all help make the descision easier? Can you all help with some more suggestions. I currently have a JBL 12 inch sub and have been happy with it but I am hesitant to spend money on something that will be with me for a while. Would be willing to spend up to $1500 for a nice set. Currently have a JVC 5.1 system ( new but not one of those high current recievers)

if you are happy with your sub keep it...if it aint broke !!! as for your speakers you will have to let peeps know what you will be using them for 50-50 music-movies ??? and then you will have to make sure the JVC can power your speakers properly the ratings....so answer those questions and we can get back to you...but it boils down to your $$ flow and what speakers you like.

Are you looking to replace all the speakers or only the front two? If you are looking to replace all of them, here are a few ideas in no particular order:

    1. Ascend Acoustics system S22-2001 - $1,255 delivered (includes 5 CBM-170s and a HSU VTF-2)

    2. Onix Rocket HT package #7 - $1,299 plus shipping. (Includes pair of RS 250s and RS 150s and a RSC 100 center.) With this option your sub stays in your system.

    3. nOrh ceramic 4.0 video package - $850 delivered, Adire Audio Dharman - $599 plus shipping

    4. Rocket ELT system and upgrade the sub to the UFW-10. Should run somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,200 plus shipping.

    5. Magnepan MMG (2 pairs) - $1,100 delivered (if not, $1,100 plus shipping but I'm pretty sure it is $1,100 delivered). They are currently working on a cheaper center speaker though I am unsure of when it will be ready. For now, you may need to run it in Phantom mode. With this system you would keep your current sub though it will not be up to par with the Magnepans.

Those are a few options and offer you a much different flavor than what is available locally. Unfortunately the JBL sub you currently have isn't up to par for handling your room size as it is close to 2,750 cubic feet, which is why I have recommendations for other subs in there. Take what you will with the information and ideas and may you enjoy your future system, whatever it may be!

Well, for $1,600 you could go with five marble nOrh 4.0 speakers or their SM 6.9 video package (includes a pair of synthetic marble 6.9s and 3 ceramic 4.0s).

Axiom offers a pair of M60ti's (tower speakers for the front), VP150 center, and M3ti surrounds for $1,425 plus shipping.

You have the Home Theater Direct gloss black Level 4 towers, gloss black Level 4 center, and black Level 3 surrounds (aka Level 3 mains) for $1,469 plus shipping.

The Rocket HT package #6 includes RS 550 mains, RSC 100 center, and RS 150 surrounds for $1,499 plus shipping.

Finally, you have the speakers fromOdyssey. You could go with the Odyssey Circe mains and Nemesis center but that would leave you without surrounds. It goes for $1,390 plus shipping.
