Need some advice please.

Have a Samsung receiver HW-C500. Works and looks like new. But I know this is old and cant handle 4K

Have a new Samsung Frame TV on order.

Right now my TV and DVD player pass thru receiver and can use the samsung anynet feature.

If I understand all this. I can just use HDMI to connect DVD player directly to TV. Then use a optical cable out from the TV to the receiver. Will have to use another remote to turn on receiver. But since samsung does not make receivers anymore. So cant use anynet feature. I would have to do the same and have another remote with a new receiver.

Does this sound right?
Am I missing anything. Or just buy a 4K receiver anyway.
