Question CD lost in CD player

I have an Aiwa 5-disc CD player/changer. Friday I put in a CD and it got "lost" inside the box. When I opened the player the CD was no longer in the changer. Now the player is making some awful sounds like the disc is getting crunched inside the box.

    Questions:
    1. Where did it go?
    2. How can I get it out from wherever it is?

And it's a loaner from the library to top it all...
Thanks for the help in advance.

open the thing up. see what's what...

    (first unplug it though...)

don't keep using it like this, it might (read as 'will') damage the changer.

    Keep them spinning,
    Bert.

    1. It's kindof like socks in the clothes dryer - they just disappear.
