I have been requesting permission to edit one of my reviews from the site administrator for several weeks. Somewhere on this website, I found some blurb about how to edit a review already submitted and discovered contacting and requesting permission from the site administrator was the recommended procedure. Ok, fine - it seemed somewhat arcane but I followed the instructions - only to find out - my requests went into a black hole.

The administrator(s) are either too busy or not available or they simply don't care. Maybe this is just a dumping ground for people who are emotionally charged about their audio gear and in the process there's a trickle effect for manufacturers, obscene & offensive language is filtered out and there are no humans supporting the website.

OTH if webiste administrators are available and don't care, I think they should take their job a little more seriously and here's why;

Most members submit a review because they truly respect a specific product and would like to share their experience with other interested potential buyers. No doubt there are those who submit reviews out of self-interest but despite of that reviews published on this site have significant value to manufacturers because it helps their bottom line. I find the equipment reviews written by lay-persons far more objective and convincing than professionally written propaganda serving the corporate interest.

So this is an important site where everybody has something at stake. At the minimum, the website can inform the member once a review is submitted, they have no edit capability or something to that effect instead of publishing how to do something and then totally ignore the request. It's another way of saying this website is borderline dysfunctional.

Whatever the case maybe, humans or robots this site definitely needs better software and administrative support so it operates in a more responsive and professional manner.

Cheers
