XTC played at the grocery store

I'm getting old, that's gotta be what it is. But I just heard "King for a Day" played over the muzak® speakers at the grocery store. Yes, I caught myself humming along.

    Kill me now.

The XTC version, right? (Not a Muzak interpretation, I hope)

I remember hearing 'Dear God' in supermarkets a long time ago, back when it was a hit. In supermarkets that switched from the Muzak at odd hours, that is.

    I don't like others.

Heard something off of Gary Numan's Pure album, I think it was "Little Invitro", when I was in...JCPenney.

Kudos to their twisted music programmer.

I went to visit a day care facility in a tough part of town and they were playing Marilyn Manson for the kiddies.

Heard Nirvana's "Scentless Apprentice" at a dance club once.
