Who stops you in your tracks?

Who is/are the vocalists/musicians/bands that time stands still for?

Yesterday I was in the supermarket and a Blue Rodeo song, sung by Jim Cuddy came on. I just stopped dead in the bread isle to listen. Stood there staring at bread for a good three minutes while I enjoyed the song and then continued on my way when it was over.

Today, at work, I have my iPod on shuffle. Again Blue Rodeo came on and I stopped my work to take a little break to just listen.

I love this man's voice. He could be singing Hickory, Dickory, Dock and it would make me swoon.

Who or what, musically stops you in your tracks?

The music of Denise Young on the CD Something You Dream Of... really makes me sit down and melt away...

In particular, the last track, Autumn Colors, which is nearly 10 min long, just soothes my psyche and soul. I stop whatever I'm doing and sit down to listen and take it all in.
