    Who should headline?
    Steve Miller or Joe Cocker?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're both has-beens....whatever.

I just received an email alert for a ticket pre-sale for Steve Miller with Joe Cocker opening. I was a little surprised that it wasn't the other way around.

I'm not planning on going either way. Top ticket price is $75.50! I saw Cocker for free at the casino a few years ago. Great show! I saw Miller about 20-some years ago and didn't pay anywhere near $75, even discounting back for inflation.

It would depend on the rest of the band. Never cared much for JC but do like a bunch of Steve Miller. Victor Wooten's brother is playing keys for SM this tour and if he is as good as the rest of the family musically, it would be good.

I won't spend more than 30-40 for anyone. The show I saw last night for $28.50 was far better than most I have seen lately at any price.

Just like no lawyer is worth $250 /hr, no show is really worth $75 or more. I would rather buy the box set and enjoy the music for years to come.

Joe Cocker has more vocal talent even today than Steve Miller ever did have in his whole career and SM always was just a mediocre guitarist so......

I have a couple of Steve Millers newer CDs and I think they're a terrible waste of time, his time has long past. Joe Cocker on the other hand can still out sing just about anyone I can think of IMHO.

I never cared for Cocker's spastic twitching, though he does have a better voice at this juncture.

Miller has the name and the tunes, so if you want chicks to show up, I'd headline Miller. That is, if its the Steve Miller Band and not some half-assed coffee house version.

If I was the promoter, Steve Miller would headline.

I gotta concur but, the nuances in his voice more than makes up for that IMO

    Age before beauty.:D

Yeah, I would agree that Joe has more talent. But how long has it been?

SM appeals to younger old farts than JC. Gotta market to the youth, no matter how aged.
