No, it's not horrible. It's just that I like Appleseed Cast A LOT and I had forgotten that they have a new album..

What the hell's wrong with you, Honeypie? You send me crap like Nine Horses - Snow Bourne Sorrow but not Lisa Germano - Geek the Girl?

I just put it on for the first time and after the intro bit of the first song, I was a goner!!! And then the phone rang.

    Isn't that always the way?

I'm glad I got to read the monkey story before you deleted it. I guess some could've been offended if read literally, but it spoke volumes metaphorically. Was that an original?

Yeah, I thought later that it might be a bit too much for one post

Not mine. It's been circulating on the web for quite awhile. Just search for "I Like Monkeys". The link below has a little bit of "history" on the story, although the history reads a bit like the story so it may be pseudo ...

Don't give up on Nick Drake. Listen to the great production. Listen to that great singing style and how he holds those notes so well. Listen to those great melodies and tragically youthful lyrics.

When I first discovered Nick Drake, I couldn't get enough of him for about three years. Kinda like when I was in my Moody Blues phase, and later my Everything But The Girl phase.

Every once in a while there is a performer or band that comes along that just has it all right for me. I still love to listen to Nick Drake.

I've been listening to way too much Joy Division lately. Started off by pulling out Unknown Pleasures, my general favorite. Then played Closer...still wanted more, so I pulled out the Peel Sessions EPs, and tossed on the compilation Still while I was at it. Damn, that was one amazing band. And, considering I really love New Order too...just astounding.

Also, been playing a bunch of Kraftwerk. Started with Autobahn, and went through most of their catalog. My wife never was a fan, but heard them in the xcar and asked who it was and when they were from. When I told her they were from the 70s, autobahn was playing, she was really amazed at how far ahead of theior time they were. She's still not a fan, but it was interesting that even someone that doesn't like them can see how trailblazing they were.

Also some Minutemen, the new Prince, a bunch of reggae, William Orbit, some Louis Armstrong and Count Basie (really was digging the Count Basie/Sarah Vaughn record), a little Lee Morgan, and some Howlin' Wolf.

    That's enough for now.
