    Van Halen concert tickets

    Good lord.

I checked Ticketmaster today for tickets to Van Halen here.

All seats are $90.00 + service charge.

    Amazing.

    Absolutley amazing.

    Too steep for me!

Although I would enjoy seeing them.

I'd go see them, too. In a small club. For $12. And I would have bought the tickets from the club a week earlier and saved any service charge. And no brown M&M's.

That explains why Steve Vai is playing guitar.

    Who's the singer?

Sammy Hagar is touring with them. They played Toronto a couple of weeks ago and the reviews were excellent. Personally, I wouldn't pay $90 to see them (and I didn't ).

So th eguy that the band is named after isn't in it? How lame is THAT?

Still, to see Vai torture those songs would be pretty interesting.

Still, I wouldn't pay $9 to see 'em at a sleazy Indian Casino.

I might pay $20, but only if David Lee Roth were singing with them. Sammy Hagar? You'd have to pay me a lot more than $90 to be there. Is there anything I would pay $90 for? Maybe GWAR doing Motorhead covers for a couple of hours...

Now, I realize this may not be of all that much interest to a Van Halen fan, but I think this is a pretty amazing bill for $20...

The Vai thing was a joke.

Sleazy Indian casino- isn't that redundant?

    Van Halen tickets

I did see Van Halen for 12 bucks LMAO it was the 1984 tour and my friend got me a ticket. i only wished i could have seen sammy hagar with them in their heyday. I saw the new album out called " the best of both worlds"

    http://www.van-halen.com/newsite/bobw.html

actually its a greatest hits album although there are several new songs. I have all the other songs on this disc and i am reluctant to shell out money for very little new material. it seems like very little good rock and roll has come out in the last 6-7 years as so i have diversified a little. I now listen to classical, jazz, pop, rock and roll and heavy metal. just spare me the shot ma dog twang twang country stuff or the gangsta rap please

I used to think that too. But with a few recs from the folks around here and some of my own searching, I've found all kinds of new, great R&R. Here are just a few bands for you to look into if you're so inclined.

    The Trews
    Perfect Circle
    Three Days Grace
    Finger Eleven
    Thornley
    Jet
    Treble Charger
    Queens of the Stoneage

All great rock and roll listens in IMHO.

    Happy listening!
