    Here's a good album

I bought the Stax 50th Anniversary collection, 2 CD set. The discs come in a nice box with a book about the history of Stax for only $15.00. If some how you are not familiar with Stax this is a various artists album with acts like Booker T & the MG's, Sam & Dave, Shirley Brown, Otis Redding, The Staple Singers and many more. These tracks have been remastered and sound great. I mean you have to consider the time frame of the song but the Staples and MG's tracks sounded much better than on previous albums I own. I would think this is a must for any music lover and especially if you enjoy classic R&B or Motown. This album is a lot of fun. If you listen to any samples you will probably recognize most of the songs.

Mr. P, that sounds like a lot of fun. I've got a few old records that I inherited from my dad that showcase a lot of the same artists... I don't have them close at hand, but I think they're called Stax/Volt Revue Volumes 1 & 2. That was quite a roster.
