Stopped by the record store down the street. It's a cool place as it is housed in an old house with lots of rooms for different genres. They had a band playing out on the front porch and refreshments (hamburgers, hot dogs and soda) on the back porch. Much too crowded for any vinyl browsing. Just a fun atmosphere.

Two new Record stores opened up 1 block from each other. They sell mostly vinyl.

Wotta haul!
Buncha free stuff, CDs, records, posters, buttons, stickers and a live bluegrass band to boot. Dig! Records in Ukiah, CA, I thank you!
Best freebie scores were an older Scott Henderson disc (Well To The Bone) and a Project Z disc (Jimmy Herring, with most excellent guests from Col. Bruce Hampton's Aquarium Rescue Unit; the Col. himself, Apt. Q258 [Jeff Stipe] on drums, and Derek Trucks on slide guitar). God, I love finds like these! Herring also plays with Widespread Panic, in case you have heard the name but didn't know where you'd heard it.
I have stepped foot in a record store in years. I listen to classical music for the most part and shop online, either discs or downloads.

I'll play...I love RSD. Mpls is a great place for it, probably 10 different good stores in the metro area and most do something - lots of food trucks, grilling dogs, bands playing in parking lots...
I hit up 6 stores and bought 7 lps, some of the RSD releases, some randoms. Spent last night reading liner notes and listening. Good times

Didn't have the chance to support RSD. Anyone pick-up the new Pixies vinyl, I understand there was a RSD only 7" single included.
