    There's Chrome, just shining Chrome.....
Ah, been a while since I listened to Catherine Wheel, but those first two records are kind of special to me. I just love Chrome, "Half Life" cranked now, and it does sound good.

...in the re-released version that includes acoustic versions of Chrome, Show Me Mary and The Nude.

Another one from the early 90s getting some listens the last few days, cool piece of gothic dream pop by Breathless, appropriately titled "Between Happiness and Heartache". Almost like a mix of the Cure and Dead Can Dance, maybe with some Cocteau Twins. Little bit of Galaxie 500. I don't know, but sounds good. Unlike many bands of the time, very distinctive singer, and so his voice is a big part of the music. Good lyrics, melodic, the whole package. Found a 320K download link at http://music-share.blogspot.com/2009...iness-and.html if interested in a taste ....

    Hey Monkey-D,

That there sounds like a veritable cornucopia of good stuff. I'll take it as a recommendation and thanks for that...

Yea, thought you'd probably bob on over. Seems like sticks-kinda stuff. The guy at The Killing Moon blog has been doing the occasional Breathless post so has a couple earlier ones up in flac, but might be awhile before he gets to this one, which came a few years later, and is the best, at least of what I know. Definitely worth some exploring.

CHROME is a classic no doubt. Great depth to the sound and razor shop playing. Some like FERMENT better but I'll always gravitate to CHROME. hi dbi.
