St Vincent anyone?

I heard a few tracks off the new one, Actor, and I find it to my liking. Reminiscent of Bat For Lashes or Feist by way or Asobe Seksu. Boy, lots a chick fronted bands out now. Don't know why, but the dude at the rekkid store must have wood for the stuff.

This is my daughter's last week for dance class; the reason I had an hour or two to kill at the music store (which right down the street from the dance studio). So I now have to find a new excuse for slumming at Everyday Music.

Also heard the new Great Lake Swimmers - very good, mellow indie-folk rock ala Guster or Gomez. I might have to add this to my ever growing want list as well.
