Speaking of Tommy Shaw......

Have you heard INFLUENCE from Shaw-Blades ?

It is a collection of covers that provided heavy INFLUENCE on the musical roots of Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw...........................You know how well their voices work together (remember DAMN YANKEES ?) and this collection really displays that balance. The recording is excellent, as are the instrumentation, vocals and arrangements.

Not exactly sure what the point is of releasing a bunch of covers, but it sure sounds good.

I've heard it. It's pretty good but not something that I would go back and listen to on a regular basis. While the covers are good, I don't think that they've added anything new that would make me want to hear the covers over the originals.

My opinion on covers is that if you're going to do one you should put your own interpretation into it.
