Yes, good choice. Mazzy Star sounds like a dorm room at 3:30 am on Saturday. This is my favorite.

Maybe a little off topic, but is it just me or was there a whole spate of talented singer/songwriters in the 90s that seemed a bit uncomfortable with how physically attractive they are/were? Sandoval, Dolores O'Riordon; Sinead, ect.

Hey, there's a new Mazzy Star album coming out in September. The teaser song that they posted to YouTube for it is really encouraging.

Cool, I am a big fan of Mazzy Star and have 3 of their albums. This clip is vintage MS. Sandoval has a great voice but could not make it as a solo artist, I have one her solo albums and it is not very good. I will however be buying this album. I love to turn the lights out and listen to Sandoval's voice.

Actually Woodbury. Sandoval has an intoxicating voice and it is accentuated by the echo or music hall effect of the recording and the transparency and wide sound stage of my system. A little alcohol doesn't hurt either.

Yea, it's cool that it really did happen, and that it is the entire original lineup, and that there is really now a record set for release. I even kinda like the cover art, though a little too much purple for me.

I like some of the Hope Sandoval stuff with the Warm Inventions too, moreso than blackraven, but it doesn't try to be Mazzy Star. It also doesn't have the magic that she and Roback sometimes brought out in each other.
