I put on Kraftwerk's most well known album a few days ago, not having listened to it in way too long, and I think it's rapidly becoming my summer soundtrack. What a great record. Or in this case, CD. Probably played it 5 times in the last week. I forgot how solid it was beyond the epic title track. Probably my favorite slice of Kraftwerk, overall. I do like all the early stuff, but this one is so concise and rhythmic, with extended moments of shimmering, melodic beauty. Love the closing "Morgenspaziergang". Thirty years old. I was thirty years old once upon a time.......

I get tired of the toon, it's too long for me.

I like their 5-7 minute toons a lot.

I dig it. Krafwerk is one of my favourite bands of all time...well, in my top 10, at least. The thing I like about this album is that it's their transitional album. Side one is their first true foray into synthpop, and side two is exemplary krautrock.
